What is Intersegmental Traction Therapy?

Intersegmental traction therapy is a procedure used by chiropractors to treat back pain, disc problems, and reduce muscle spasms. This type of therapy helps the healing process in your body and does not involve drugs or surgery.

What do we use at Back To Essentials? We use an Intersegmental Traction Table, also known as a Spinulator, as a healing tool. It gently helps reestablish the normal ranges of the body’s spine. How does Intersegmental Traction Therapy work? The intersegmental table operates by a dual roller moving up and down the muscles on either side of the spine. The rolling contact is constant and works electronically. The intersegmental traction table mobilizes the spinal column while simultaneously stretching the ligaments and muscles. This helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength and mobility.
